My normal instinct as a very fast reader was to dash through the book. Three minutes into the work, I realized I had a treasure in my hand and that such nonchalance would be impossible and irreverent. S.D., Thornton, CO

What an anointed book!, September 20, 1999

If you've ever wondered if God loves us, or who He is or about His "game plan" for the present times we're living in, through His "diligent seeker" Mary Ellen Gilliland, God lovingly and joyfully speaks to us loud and clear! The messages are profound, urgent and hopeful. I encourage all: believers and nonbelievers, young and old, rich and poor, sick and well, to read this book. Read especially the love letters from Jesus at the end. The explanation of the Feast of Tabernacles is exciting. I sent a copy to all my family and friends. It's that kind of book! Read, savor, enjoy and choose Him who is Life, Love and Light! See you at the "Party!"

Read and enjoy, April 26, 1999

I keep rereading the first ten chapters of 'Heaven on Earth' and receive a new blessing each time as God progressively reveals himself as 'I AM' . 'I AM' life, love, light, playful, authentic, vibrant, available, passionate, curious, enthusiastic, fun, brimming with fullness of life, goodness, peace, truth, vitality, faithfulness, freshness, reality, animation, spirit, energy, and newness. Read, enjoy, and be encouraged.

Newspaper Review Excerpts on Heaven On Earth, Here And Now:

Summit Daily News, December 2, 2000 by Shauna Farnell, staff writer
The text kicks off with a notion of "I AM"--that God is a part of each life form and holds a hidden presence everywhere on earth, within all of nature.
The book, clearly written from a strong Christian perspective, is driven from beginning to end by verses from the Bible. Heaven On Earth, Here And Now is written exclusively for a devout Christian audience. It takes such an audience to fully comprehend Gilliland's discussion of topics such as Messiah, the Anointed, Recompense, Jehovah Shammah and Tabernacle.
The idea of heaven on earth revolves around Gilliland's feeling that God "wants to restore what Adam lost: a garden of delight, an abundant garden, a place to work happily and rest peacefully. But most important, a place to nurture a relationship with the God of our blessing."

Ten Mile Times, October 11, 2000
Heaven On Earth, Here And Now
is a book about living in God's presence.
"I AM" is the name of God used in Heaven On Earth. The first section describes His personality as I AM and expresses in His words the intensity of His yearning for relationship with His people, author Mary Ellen Gilliland says.
Other chapters present God's view of individual suffering, how His presence empowers people, and His plan to demonstrate His glory in the shopping center, on the streets and in unexpected places like a drunk tank or a psychotic ward.
"We can ask God to tell us what He is saying in a mountain panorama or in the patterned flight of geese," Gilliland suggests. He is always speaking. We are just not listening.
A Continental Divide sunset over Dillon Reservoir is featured on the book's cover and several vignettes from backcountry hiking and skiing are included in the book's 21 chapters.

Book Description:
Beginning in 1985, the author sat down daily to listen to God. The result is what the publisher terms "Joyous News from Jesus to His People," an exciting compilation of conversations with God. He identifies Himself as Yahweh, The I AM in a stunning revelation of a relational God who laughs, weeps and wants to be intimately related to His people.
